4 Ways you can use hibiscus for hair growth

Hibiscus Infused oil for hair growth

Ingredients: dried hibiscus flower, any carrier oil, rosemary essential oil(optional), Vitamin E capsules(optional).


  • Take a handful of fresh red-coloured hibiscus, or you can use the dried one.
  • If you are taking fresh flowers, crush them and mix them with any carrier oils like coconut oil, olive oil, or grapeseed oils, and if you are using dried hibiscus, grind them to form a powder and mix it with any of the carrier oils.
  • Take a pan and heat some coconut oil (In low flame).
  • Once the oil gets warm, add hibiscus powder to the oil.
  • Keep the flame low, and stir it occasionally to avoid the powder sticking at the bottom.
  • Let the oil infuse for 20-25 minutes. Once the infusion is ready, turn down the flame and let it come to room temperature.
  • Strain the oil using a cheesecloth or fine sieve and transfer it to an air-tight container.
  • You can also add a few drops of rosemary essential oil or vitamin E capsules for double the benefits.
  • Store the oil in a cool, dark place.


  • Always warm the oil before applying it to the hair,
  • Make sure your scalp is clean and your hair is free from tangles.

  • Let them boil until the colour changes. Strain the water and let it cool. Use this water after every hair wash.
  • This rinse will stimulate the blood circulation in the scalp and supply nourishment to the roots, resulting in shine to the hair.


  • After shampooing, pour this hibiscus rinse water slowly, covering the entire hair.
  • Keep the water in the hair for a few minutes and let the hair absorb the nutrients.
  • Wash it off with room-temperature water.
  • You can use this remedy after every hair wash for soft, shiny and manageable hair.

Hibiscus hair growth tonic

Ingredients: fresh/dried hibiscus, fenugreek seeds, water and any essential oil of your choice.


Take some fresh or dried hibiscus and fenugreek seeds. Boil the ingredients with water and let that boil for 15-20 minutes. Once the colour changes completely, strain it and let it cool.

Add a few drops of any essential oils of your choice (you can use rosemary, lavender or tea tree essential oil), and shake the tonic well. Use this hair tonic on the scalp cotton with buds.


But do not use this solution immediately after taking out from the refrigerator. Let it come to room temperature, and you are good to go. You can store the solution for 1 week.
